Hello! I'm Maria

Birth & Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator & Lactation consultant

My journey as a doula began at the end of 2015, when I made the life-changing decision to move to Vancouver, Canada, after completing my degree in Education in Málaga, Spain. I have always felt a deep passion for education, health, motherhood, and the well-being of families. From a young age, I knew my calling was to walk alongside women and families during one of the most transformative and intimate moments of their lives: pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding.

I trained as a doula, childbirth educator, and lactation consultant in Vancouver, a city that was my home until May 2024. This experience has been one of the most enriching of my life, offering me the privilege to support countless families from different parts of the world and cultures, something that I believe has expanded my heart and soul. As an immigrant myself, I´ve witnessed many friends and families go through this transformative process in isolation, without close relatives to lean on. This made me realize how much support is lacking for new families and how essential it is to have guidance during this stage.

My mother and grandmother, having given birth to four and eight babies, respectively, have provided me with deep insights into the rite of passage that birthing is – a journey of physical, emotional and spiritual transformation. I was fascinated every time they shared their birth stories and experiences, from which I learned the importance of honoring and respecting the natural cycles of life, understanding birth as a natural physiological event, and the need to create  a nurtiring, safe space where mothers feel emporered and supported

Now settled in Spain, residing between Madrid and Marbella, with over 10 years of experience, I look forward to supporting you on your own journey of transformation. My mission is to provide you with a safe and trusting space where you can embrace this journey with the love and support you deserve.
